'Sup everyone, it's another Tuesday (8.06am on a Wednesday morning is still a Tuesday by my books!) Hope everyone has had the nicest Christmas over the weekend; I got stuffed silly.

And this is totally random but I'm so proud of it, my Christmas nails! This was the last best shot I got before I started mucking about with some DIY over the weekend.

I would have wanted to do the cover of Jade's Show today, but that can't happen yet as I'm having a little problem with the photos and they will take some more time.

Till then, this is just a stocking filler post of all the outfits by real, amazing people. Stuff in my reader that really caught my eye.

H&M Spring 2011
♥ dress on right. Gorgeous Shillohute.

CocoRosa
♥ the cutout

Amy S.
♥ the outfit in its entirety.

Aileen B.
♥ the top.

Ebba Z.
♥ the top.

Kajsa N.
♥ the dress. H&M, of course!
Andy Torres, posted by Alina S
♥ the outfit. ♥ her webby stylescrapbook.com you should totally check it out.

If I lived in a Winter Wonderland instead of the Sunny Tropics, I'd totally live for these:

Emmi T.
♥♥ the knit poncho.

Keidy K.
♥ the jacket.

Slicari
♥ the blazer.

Olivia H.
♥♥♥ this jacket. me wants!!!!

Realised that most of the stuff I've picked are from H&M, too bad they're going to be a little tough on the pocket when they hit Singaporean Shores, or I'd live in them day and night.

Till next Tuesday. Toodles.

Much Love,
Karen.

So I went to Vietnam mid last month for roughly about a week and a half. It was just a uh, family holiday. Before I went, I thought I'd find lots of things for cheap. Hah, I got cheap right, everything else I got wrong.

But that said, these were the stars of my trip. Lo and behold!

These beaded clutches were not hard to find. In fact they were everywhere because it's such a tourist draw. But hey, they're actually really, really pretty. Don't diss them because it may look tacky to some, but others may see its gorgeous potential.

I love the detailing on this one, the flowers all "pop up".

Personally I find the chain a little hideous, but that can easily be rectified. Aren't they just gorgeous? And the best part is, one cost me about SGD$7 and the other SGD$19. Fully beaded, good hard case structure, no visible threads, please, it was a steal! I felt like I'd robbed them. There wasn't any haggling by the way.

But my ultimate fave brought back from my trip, wasn't even from Vietnam, it was from the duty-free shop after arrivals immigration at Singapore's Budget Terminal. Lols.

But.this.is.omg.must.be.the.best.smell.in.the.world...
One whiff and I was hooked, it just brought me back to a really happy place in my mind, it made me associate the smell with London, perhaps of a Lush shop on South Molton Street.
It's quite deep, deep enough to want to keep it for night use only, yet light enough to wear it daily and get away with it. But I can't get you to smell it, I can only make you look at the bottle, which is such a cute package, how could you resist? This is the smaller, 50ml bottle. I've always felt that smaller perfume bottles looked better than their oversized cousins, plus, how does anyone use that much perfume before the bottle goes bad?

I present; Ricci Ricci by Nina Ricci

Haha, ignore, I repeat, ignore my naked nails. Horror!

A whiff gives me serious smilies, like a tranquiliser might.

Plus the video ad, with Jessica Stam in, for this perfume really was quite good.

What can I say, I had to get it.

P.S. Queenquin will be moving to Wordpress soon, so keep an eye out for the switch. Join us on facebook to keep in the loop!

Till next week,
Loves,
Karen.

Hey guys,

Absolutely apologetic for the serious lack of posts. But I've been waiting on blogger and its damn picture uploader to work for the past week and I'm getting fed-up. I'm speaking to Jade tonight and we're going to settle on a host change.

On the bright side, I've made up my mind to post on queenquin every tuesday. I have one post about shopping during my trip to Vietnam last month waiting and another one that's really going to be awesome 'cause it's going to cover Jade's Graduate Collection, whose show is tonight and I'm literally halfway out the door for.

So I'll see you around, hopefully tomorrow for the first Tuesday post!

Love,
Karen.

All the links go straight to their etsy pages by the way so if you really want to get any of these, click away.
P.S. None of the above belong to me.

It's likely that Jade may not come back for a while, now being approximately 33 days away from her graduate collection show. Then immediately taking flight the next day (no literally) for 3 months. So I'm not too sure how often Jade might be updating. In the meantime, I shall start planning to sit in for the next few months. Looks like you're stuck with me! boo.

Although, I think I already know where I'm going to start. Long story short, I wore a dress to work because I had to attend a friend's wedding straight from the office one day, I walked into the middle of a meeting and everyone started laughing out of amusement.
Coincidentally or not, the night before, one of our staff girls at one of the shops asked me why I always wore shorts to work. I've been busted, no dress code and I just got freaking lazy with the tees, shorts and slippers routine.

So maybe, I will create an outfit challenge for myself, maybe something weekly, let me think this one out first. It takes a lot of commitment to wake up before 12pm and dress up once a week in this tropical weather.

Lots of lazy love,
Karen.

Behind the scenes on day 1 men's fetish shoot w. Daven Lee!

Wheeee, I'm in class and therefore have extra snippets of time to post the Behind-The-Scenes-Footage of a Fashion shoot.

I played Fashion Stylist for 4 days straight before I left to HongKong. This was the first shoot, men's, it is a fetish shoot.

Photography by Daven Lee
Make up & Hair : Veronica Leong & Angeline Leong
Styling : Jade QueenQuin
Wardrobe & Art Direction : Me DI Assistant : Clifford Loh
models really do eat salad LOL.
actually no la, we just feed them rabbit food for the first part so they don't like get bellies.

lol.
chilling while waiting for their turn, feel quite bad cause it really was cold.
make up and hair chilling and watching the shoot.
so the concept was Fetish and I had a list of things that Daven wanted to shoot, my job is basically to have all the guys ready by the time the previous guy is done.

which is actually harder than I thought it would be.

alexy and gerard,
NOTE: alexy has like The Nicest Abs.
alexy is on the left and gerard on the right, russian and australian respectively, I THINK.

CAN YOU TELL I KINDA REALLY LIKE STYLING LOL
Lacus!
Matthew, lucky there was like a hose at the back so he could wash this off.
POOR LACUS, it was SO cold cause they were just pouring water on him.
matt after shower, looking all macho.red meat part of the shoot, think lady gaga's meat outfit.

positioning meat. I actually can't touch meat with ease now because one time my parents went overseas and I accidently left the freezer open and ALL our meat, and we have alot, got defrosted and rotted within a 12 hour period and... sigh. it was a horrifying experience for me.
fooling around after the shoot which ended pretty late. ALEXY DID THIS SUPER COOL HELICOPTER HIPHOP MOVE AND I WAS LIKE WTF. never saw that in real life. HE ALSO DID A BACKFLIP. omg.
matt and lacus had left by then. so after shoot and all tired (:

I'll post the final pictures of the shoot when I get them (:
