outfit post

I have gone out a few times already thinking, okay today I'll take a picture of what I'm wearing and actually post it. but I totally forget when I'm out.

so I decided to quickly take before I left the house yesterday, thinking I'll get a proper full body photo outside. obviously I didn't -_-

this is what I would wear for a lazy day out.

because I didn't put much thought into what I wore I picked a few accessories to at least look like I didn't just roll out of bed.

Here I have:
-Rosary from The Vatican (Roma)
-LOVELOVELOVE plastic bangle from a set I got in HK, which was super ex, $40SGD
-black and white diamond ring thing, about $4 I think.

I just piled on what I had in blackish tones.
-F21 pink flower ring, $10 I think?
-And a punkish bracelet from peninsula, cause I roll like that.

-hello kitty earstuds from claire's which I bought in Zurich.

Claire's is actually a french brand which is alot like Accesorize, I really like both of them! super cute designs, which are unique but their prices are abit scary at times. but come sales, hoho.

-the golden rabbit with dangling legs I got in HK.
-faux diamontee dangle earring from this random cheap ass store in Berlin, it was like 50eurocents for a pair.

honestly, I didn't wear this stuff on the occasion of going out, I have had these studs/earrings in for I would think a week now? I like just putting everything together to see what you get.this pendant I've had since forever, I think I got it when I was in holiday in thailand like eons ago. I tend to only buy pendants, and like put them on a velvet string. I like chokers!
make up for the day super simple, shimmerish pinkish-white with eyeliner.
my hellokitty jumper thing I got from H&M when I was in hongkong, I wear this on rainy days cause its abit thick.

Men's Fashion Week!!!

I was lucky enough to score tickets to one of the shows in men's fashion week!
ikr, how lucky am I :D

this men's fashion week thing is a pretty frikkin' huge deal because the first showing is in Paris, followed by Milan, and then SINGAPORE.

can you imagine? Singapore 3rd in line before New York and all the other big countries. GO singapore!

the show I went for was Canali.
its a lux italian men's wear label, I to be honest have never heard of it, probably because I'm so terrible with label names and the like.

this is the first FASHIONWEEK show I've ever been invited to, so I went super eager to see what people WEAR to such events.

so this is what my friend Zameer wore, except the jacket is mine :D

omg his stocking are shocking. his tweet for the day went something like:

my outfit looks ridiculous, loves it!

he is the one who got me tickets, so superfrikkingrateful.

my frikkin awesome vintage (which is just another word for secondhand) jacket! and my customised zara bag which I blogged about an earlier post.this post!

Eve wore super accessories that night and her nails damn cute :3
Zameer's accessories!
walking in its this huge.... for lack of a better word, EXPO LOOKING HALL, at the side an elevated platform thing for VIPs only.
pfft. VIP area, who wants to be there?
with the free food.......

.... the champagne

.... the drinks

...... hmph!

before the show
ASIAN FINGER POSE!
actual media and poser media :D
black curtain where we enter from, the big boards in the front of it, which are hidden from this side, the ones that say MEN'S FASHION WEEK, where they checked tickets at,
FELL DOWN,
like forward,
BEFORE THE SHOW.

we were wondering if anyone got like, smashed, but we heard no screams so all was good.

everyone freaked out and tried to make it stand again, but gave up and propped it against the wall. this lead into the discussion of how badly fashion week was organised. I only went for this show so I really wouldn't know, but honestly being 3rd to receive men's fashion week, I did expect... alot more.

the runway before everyone is seated

here you can see that the white board, previously standing, has been now propped against the left wall.I WAS SITTING ACROSS FROM EDUARDO SAVERIN, aka. one of the Creators of this thing you might have heard of, Facebook.

he apparently lives in Singapore now, and even though he had no relation to fashion at all, is at the shows :D

SO EXCITING.

show begins.

during the show there were a few models that.... walked abit strangely.

posed really strangely too XD
show ends!
it was really quick, feels quicker watching a show, than being back stage, trust me.
all in all, its a lux label so not too much design to rave about, the models had black suede shoes that Nicky adored.

I saw a jacket that I adore, brown suede from what I could see, with a jersey lining and a fur trimmed hoodie.
been looking for a picture of it but I can't find one D:

While walking out, was stopped to be interviewed by FashionTV
the girl stopped me, when she said FashionTV, I was so shocked I went all shy and kinda looked abit like a COMPLETE idiot.

so if you DO happen to see me on fashionTV please don't judge me!

I said 'I love FashionTV' really shy. so I don't think they'll use the footage anyway.

so thats my brief fashion week encounter (:

brigitte bardot

french, former model, actress and singer.

was born in Paris, 28 september 1934

she still lives today, though she does look drastically different. (:

just sayin'

one of the sexiest women. like, ever?

oozes sexiness out of her ears.

Gemma Ward (model) as Brigitte Bardot, by Karl Lagerfeld!

just thought I'd share what I happen to be browsing.
also I just remembered that whilst I was overseas, I picked up quite alot of pictures of random things I really liked, (over the interwebz) ranging from pictures of celebs, to pictures of scenes to drawings.
would love to share, but I don't want to make this into a freakin' tumbler ._."

nothing againist tumblr. of course. (:

images, are not mine. found on google!

customising my zara bag from barcelona!

So I bought myself a bag from Zara which cost me 40euros!

the story of how I ended up with this bag instead of another one is on YouTube, I got it in barcelona in anycase.

its not really about the bag, but like it shows the other bag I wanted to buy but didn't. Sarah owns that bag now.
so this is my bag! I bought it cause I really liked the shape and size, and its got 6 compartments, its just mega practical la. which is totally me.

it actually fits my laptop, which is freaking great.

so, its a bit plain, which is fine, but I just thought it'd be nice to personalise it a bit.

and this is what I have to decorate it.

pins from my secondary school, which include my secondary school badge.
pins from london (anti-smoking/telephone booth)
pins that are in the shape of musical instruments, also from london!
pins from phantom of the opera part 1 and 2.
and of course badges from EARTHHOUR, bought them to show support.
and a vintage scarf that I bought for a euro, shown later.

how I placed the pins.

tied a pretty scarf to the side! which is vintage and has cigarette burns in it because the scarf is exactly at my wrist level lol. damn.
and this is what it looks like done. yes I know, I put super a lot of nonsense on it, and maybe you would prefer it without all the pins and only the scarf.

just an idea of what you can do to a basic bag to make it look like. awesome (:

just sayin'

I will post a picture of me carrying it out sooner or later.

I just hope the pins don't like fall out or anything!

spring is here!!!!!

well! spring is here, it started the very day I left rome. sadly. the 21st of march. so accordingly, spring is to bring flower prints and... colours right?

tbh I have never been a fan of the whole
spring/summer = violent colours
winter/autumn = totally toned down.

not my thing. toned down automatically means less happy? (great depression) like I think it paints winter as a more depressing season in terms of colours, which I don't believe in at all!

well. then again, I wear whatever the hell I want anyway so. :D
I was the only person in winter sporting a pink coat (pale pink but pink nonetheless), everyone else wore black D: which is nice and everything but. yes, abit boring to look at in the metro.

I think any style can be worn anytime. really.

sorry sidetracked again. so looking through lookbook, which for me just keeps me up with what people are wearing nowadays, colour blocking is back.
*cringe.

I be loving her socks though!

her bag. *dies. reminds of me the new plastic JS for addidas shoes. which are btw, freaking gorgeous.
tadah! super chio <3

back to colour blocking, its not that I don't do it or by any means hate it(that much). its just that when I see it being done, its usually with really... off colours.
like the jacket, I really don't like that green at all.

and I don't know, accessories tend to take a step back, and.. the colours are really garishly bright, and maybe I just really don't like super loud colours in so much access I guess.
her pants somehow made it to a colour so vibrant it went off the tangerine colour charts.
mmph.

I don't know everyone seems to go back to primary colours, like the really super... bright ones and wear huge blocks of it. me no likes.

I would probably wear that purple as a top or shoes (smaller surface area).

but then again, I was looking through the stuff I did like from lookbook and I guess I am kind of boring D:

I need to find stocking like that. fer real.such a nice use of print in an outfit.
lovin' rosary earring.

I guess my style at the moment is more laid back. I do believe I wear more colour than the pictures above though. :S

and I'm sorry winter is over, I do so love what they deem winter colours.
oh well, it'll be back in 6 months :D

xx. J

ps. all above pictures were from lookbook, the owners have all rights to them, and I obviously don't own any.
